Who we are
Watermark Design Build is a design-build remodeling contractor serving the Tampa Bay area. This policy explains what information we collect through our website and our client and trade partner portal, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, project address and the details you share when you request a consultation, fill out a form, sign a document, upload a photo or file, or send a message through the portal.
Information created by working with us: project records such as scopes, schedules, selections, documents, photos, invoices and payment status.
Technical information: basic log and device information collected automatically when you visit the site, such as browser type, pages viewed and approximate location derived from your IP address.
How we use information
We use your information to respond to inquiries, prepare proposals, deliver and manage construction projects, keep accounting and warranty records, communicate with you about your project, comply with legal and contractual obligations, and improve our services.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.
Service providers
We use trusted service providers to run our business, including hosting and database providers, email and text messaging providers, electronic signature services, and accounting software such as QuickBooks Online. These providers only receive the information needed to perform their service for us, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Our connection to QuickBooks Online is read-only. We use it to retrieve accounting records such as customers, invoices and payments so that project financial information stays accurate. We do not write, modify or delete data in your QuickBooks company.
Sharing with others on your project
Project information may be shared with the people working on your project, including our staff and the trade partners assigned to your job. Trade partners only see the projects and documents connected to their own work. Homeowners only see their own projects. Internal pricing, costs and margins are never shown to homeowners or trade partners.
How we protect information
Access to the portal requires a verified login, and each account only reaches the records it is permitted to see. Documents are stored in access-controlled storage and shared through expiring links. Sensitive records such as tax identification numbers are restricted to administrators.
How long we keep information
We keep project, contract, accounting and warranty records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal, tax, licensing and warranty obligations. Inquiry records that do not become projects are kept for a limited period and then removed.
Your choices
You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete information we are not required to keep. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link, or reply STOP to text messages. Project and service messages will continue while your project is active.
Children
Our website and portal are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
